Good music is hard to find... part one

The more I visit Portland the more I'd feel as though I'd rather stay than leave.  This last visit, I met quite a few artists from the area who share their music as a gift to any listening ear.  These folks craft excellent music and I would like to pass that music on to you.  While this music is a gift, I would encourage you to consider supporting these artists and their ministry by donating or buying merch!  I hope you enjoy their music as much as I do.

Door of Hope Church and Deeper Well Recordings: A Gospel Collective

The Deeper well collective primarily consists of artists who meet with Door of Hope Church in Portland, OR.  It is great to hear music from people who do not only create art; but worship together as well.

Click on the albums below to check out a couple free downloads from these artists.

Noah Gundersen

Last night we got to see Noah and Abby Gundersen play a free concert at Whitworth... it was outside in a kind of wooded area, there was a slight fall chill, and beauuutiful music. It was magical.

Getting lost trying to find the concert

Then we stumbled upon this...

And then this happened.
Michael loved the American flag wrapped around the mic stand...

This is how we first found them

And this was our favorite in last night's set

AND, they're from Washington.

Enjoy!

looking for a steady hand
Here I stand in the land of the rocks and the valley
trying to be a better man"

Love, Love, Love

So, Michael and I really like this band, Of Monsters and Men.  They're from Iceland, and sound beautiful always.

This one is my favorite.
(And I might secretly want to be her someday:))

Enjoy!
